William Norris Clarke was an American philosopher. He was a president of the Metaphysical Society of America. He was a major opponent of Neo-scholastic interpretations of Saint Thomas and Saint Anselm. He felt that their doctrinaire interpretations of the saints were too narrow and close-minded.
