(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Walter Hermann von Heineke was a German surgeon. He was the son of physician Karl Friedrich Heineke . He studied at the Universities of Göttingen, Berlin, Leipzig and Greifswald, where he was a student and assistant to Heinrich Adolf von Bardeleben . At Greifswald he obtained his doctorate in 1858 and his habilitation for surgery in 1863. From 1867 to 1901 he was a professor of surgery at the University of Erlangen.
