(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, Warren Arthur Ambrose was Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at the University of Buenos Aires. He was born in Virden, Illinois in 1914. He received his bachelor of science degree in 1935, his master's in 1936 and his Ph.D. in 1939, all from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.
