Why Is William Dressler Influential?

According to Wikipedia, William W. "Bill" Dressler is an American anthropologist known for his concept of cultural consonance and work on cultural models especially in the context of biocultural medical anthropology. He has done fieldwork in Mexico, Brazil, the West Indies, and the United States, and worked at the University of Alabama since 1978. He is now Professor Emeritus. In 2023, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences.
