(Suggest an Edit or Addition)According to Wikipedia, William Stewart was a Scottish poet working in the first half of the 16th century. Life William Stewart was great-grandson of one of the illegitimate sons of Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan. He was educated like his namesake William Stewart , the future bishop of Aberdeen, at the University of St Andrews. Destined for the church, he later became a courtier. In 1527 he held a pension from James V of Scotland, and the last payment was recorded in the accounts of 1541. He died before 1560.
