According to Wikipedia, Yakov Nikolayevich Lyubarsky was a Soviet scholar, Doctor of Philology, specialist in Byzantine studies. Biography Yakov Lyubarskiy was born in Kiev, but after his birth, the family moved to Leningrad. His father, Nikolai Yakovlevich Lyubarskiy, was a composer and conductor, who worked as a music director for 30 years at the Leningrad Bolshoi Drama Theater; his mother was a music teacher.
