He served as the 13th president of Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin from 2012-2022. He is currently an Executive Director in the Social Impact and Education practice at Russell Reynolds Associates and based in Washington, D.C. He concurrently serves as the Chair of the Board of Visitors of the David L. Boren College of International Studies at the University of Oklahoma and is a member of the Beloit College Board of Trustees. He also is an adviser to the three year Supernova project in Rome, Italy that showcases Italian and international artists in a site-specific space on the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere.
