Boston College (BC) was founded in 1863 by the Jesuit religious order. BC is organized into nine colleges and schools. The undergraduate division of the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences alone offers more than 100 academic programs.

Among the most popular of BC’s programs are those in economics, in finance, in biological sciences, in speech, communication, and rhetoric, and in political science and government.

Lynch School of Education and Human Development offers one online doctoral and four online master’s degree programs, as well as three online certificate programs.
