According to Wikipedia, North Gauhati College, established in year 1962, is one of the oldest general degree colleges situated in Guwahati, Assam. This college is affiliated with the Gauhati University. The College was then one and only higher educational institute of entire Northern part of the Kamrup rural district. It offers courses like Higher Secondary Arts and Science stream, Bachelor of Arts , Bachelor of Science , B.Voc, and some certificate courses. In the academic year 2012-2013, the College had completed 50 years of its glorious existence and celebrated as Golden jubilee year.
