James Linder

James Linder is a small business owner obsessed with podcasting. He lives near Austin with his wife, young children and foster kids. His eldest daughter is studying biochemistry at Purdue (Boiler Up!).

After the Great Financial Crises in ’08, James read widely about political economy. He moved to Texas from Indiana in 2010, transitioning from ‘big corporate’ to entrepreneur. While building an electronics recycling business, he continued his self-education through podcasts, blogs and YouTube.

James has long been concerned with institutional decay in higher education. In his role as Chief Interviewer for the Academic Influence YouTube Channel, he is fulfilling his decades-long dream of educating adults through the internet.
