AcademicInfluence.com is part of the Education Access LLC group. This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.
This policy includes compliance guidance that conforms to the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) standards and also to standards of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). AcademicInfluence.com does not maintain standards for CCPA in a separate policy but maintains them within this document.

What data do we collect?
Categories of personal data as stated by the California Consumer Privacy Act consist of the following:

Of the categories of data listed above, Education Access LLC—which includes AcademicInfluence.com and its partner sites Influence Publishers, Intelligent Education, Magnifying the Universe, and Alexandria Library—collects and stores the following information only:
- Logging information on the IP address (CCPA category: Identifiers), IP Geolocation (Geolocation), device type (Identifiers), and browser information (Identifiers and/or Internet) from all visitors to our website via Google Analytics.
- Personal identification information that has been voluntarily submitted by the site user, including account information (CCPA category: Customer Records), which is restricted to visitors over the age of 13. Account records store name, email address, and a secured, hashed version of the user’s account password for authentication (Identifiers, Internet, and/or Customer Records). Users of the Intelligent Education platforms store their learning record, course progress, quiz responses, notes, highlighted passages, and selected books (Customer Records) within the Education Access database.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide AcademicInfluence.com with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Voluntarily complete a user survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email,
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies, or
- Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
AcademicInfluence.com may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
- Education Access LLC group partners and their sites, which include Education Access, Influence Publishers, Intelligent Education, Magnifying the Universe, and Alexandria Library, or
- Third-party affiliates or advertisers.
How will we use your data?
AcademicInfluence.com collects your data so that we can:
- Respond to your inquiries,
- Subscribe you to subscription services we provide that you elect to receive,
- Register you for third-party products, services, or information that you elect to receive, and/or

How do we store your data?
Education Access LLC group—which includes AcademicInfluence.com and its partner sites Influence Publishers, Intelligent Education, Magnifying the Universe, and Alexandria Library—securely stores your data in databases hosted by Google Cloud and ActiveCampaign. These databases can only be accessed by employees and trusted contractors of Education Access LLC.
AcademicInfluence.com will keep personal identification information that has been voluntarily submitted by the site user, including account information, for a period of one year, after which we will contact you by your submitted email address to verify if you elect for us to maintain it. If you elect for us to maintain it, we will continue to store it for another year. If you elect for us to delete it, then we will delete it within 30 days of receipt of your deletion request using the deletion tools supplied by Google Cloud and ActiveCampaign. If we do not receive a response within 30 days, we will delete your data 18 months after the date of your last account activity using the deletion tools supplied by Google Cloud and ActiveCampaign. We will repeat this verification process annually.

AcademicInfluence.com would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies.
