According to Wikipedia, Ioan Vlădea was a Romanian engineer from IAR Brașov, who developed the compressor of plane engine IAR 80. After World War II he served as professor at Polytechnic University of Timișoara. He is considered the founder of Timișoara school of thermal engineering.
